A Rec’d Score is not a rank and not a forecast. It is a record of one day: what two AI assistants said when a customer asked them a real question, and what Everline found when it checked the signals those assistants read.
The seven checks and their weights
The free Rec’d Check runs the Seven-point check. Each check is a yes or a no, and each carries a fixed weight.
| Check | Weight | What counts as a yes |
|---|---|---|
| ChatGPT named the business for the first question | 25 | The pasted ChatGPT answer names the business. |
| Google AI Mode named the business for the first question | 25 | The pasted AI Mode answer names the business. |
| Google listing uses the legal business name | 10 | No “Best…”, “#1”, “| Toronto” or service keywords stuffed into the name. |
| 4.5 stars or higher with 50 or more Google reviews | 15 | Both, on the Google listing. |
| Listed on Bing Places with matching name, address and phone | 10 | The Bing listing exists and agrees with Google. |
| Appears on at least one third-party list or directory | 10 | ThreeBestRated, HomeStars, Yelp, RateMDs, blogTO or Toronto Life: any one counts. |
| Website has LocalBusiness or FAQ schema | 5 | Structured data in the page source. |
The weights add up to 100. The two named checks carry half of it on purpose: they are the outcome, and the other five are the inputs.
How the score is worked out
The score is the weight of the checks answered yes, divided by the weight of the checks answered at all, shown out of 100. A check you skip, such as schema when you are not sure, is left out of both sides rather than counted as a no. That keeps an honest “I don’t know” from dragging the score down.
What the score means
| Score | What the Rec’d Check tells you |
|---|---|
| 80 to 100 | AI assistants can already find and trust this business. Keep it that way. |
| 50 to 79 | Partly visible. One or two fixes would likely get this business named. |
| 0 to 49 | Invisible to AI for its own category and city. Customers asking ChatGPT or Google AI are being sent to competitors. |
What a Rec’d Score is not
- Not a ranking. Neither OpenAI nor Google publishes one. The score describes what happened when the question was asked.
- Not a promise. The refund guarantee belongs to the 90-day sprint and has its own published terms.
- Not the whole picture. The free check asks one question. The $249 Rec’d Report asks ten, on both assistants, with a screenshot of every answer.
